ADSL provides data transmission at significantly higher speeds than an ordinary dial-up or ISDN service, while maintaining the existing telephone service.

Telkom stand alone ADSL services are available in 3 speed offerings namely: - Fast DSL up to 384kbps @R152 per month

- Fastest DSL up to 4096 kbps @R413 per month
 HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS If you choose to have a “home” user ADSL installed (installed to a single PC), than you require a USB modem which we can supply to you for R699
If you choose to have an “SME” ADSL installed (for more than one PC), you require an Ethernet modem, which we can supply to you for R1299
If you have more then 4 computers that need to be linked to ADSL, you will require a Netgear router, which we can supply to you for R1350 WHAT ARE THE LIMITATIONS OF ADSL? -
ADSL users cannot be more than 3 - 5km from the exchange they are connecting to. -
An ADSL is limited to traditional copper telephone lines; quality of the copper connection may influence the quality of the connection. Your exchange will need to support ADSL and ports have to be available. To check ADSL is available in your area click the link above. Our standard ADSL connection has no Static IP Address. This means that should you wish to host your own website or mail server, you will require a service called ODMR. Should you wish to have your own server with your own IP address, you can order our new uncapped Business ADSL connection which includes 4 useable static IP’s and a Billion router. INSTALLATION Should you require Interprise to set up your ADSL at your premises a charge of R350 per hour is applicable.
